Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what SAPS Portal Guide collects, what we don't, and why. In short: we collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Almost nothing directly. We don't ask you to create an account, we don't run a newsletter signup, and we don't collect names, ID numbers, email addresses, or phone numbers through this site. If you reach out through our community discussions, whatever you choose to post there is visible to other readers — so don't post personal documents, ID numbers, or application reference numbers publicly.

Cookies and analytics

Like most websites, we may use basic cookies and anonymized analytics to understand which guides people read and whether the site works properly on different devices. This data is aggregated — it tells us "this page was visited 500 times", not "you visited this page". You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

What we never do

We don't sell data, because we barely hold any. We don't share your information with third parties for marketing. And we never ask for your SAPS e-recruitment login details — anyone asking for your portal password, whether here or elsewhere, is not us and should not be trusted. SAPS applications happen only on the official e-recruitment portal at erecruitment.saps.gov.za, where you log in yourself.

We link to official SAPS sites — https://www.saps.gov.za, erecruitment.saps.gov.za, and the official MySAPS app listings on Google Play and the App Store (see our download page). Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you click through. We only link to official sources, never to unofficial "application" sites.
